Jeremias Fors is an Argentine Tango teacher, dancer and choreographer from Buenos Aires currently residing in the United States. He has danced and choreographed with renowned shows such as: Maria de Buenos Aires (San Antonio Opera 2023, Atlanta Opera 2019 & 2017, New York City Opera 2018, New Orleans Opera 2017, Nashville Opera 2017, Florida Grand Opera 2013), Black & White: A Theatrical Tango Production (2019), La Cumparsita (2019), Homenaje a Mariano Mores (2017), Forever Tango (2016), La Magia del Tango (2016, 2015), Carmen de Buenos Aires (2015), A Puro Tango II (2014), This Is Tango Now-Identidad (2013, 2012), Masters of Tango by Tango Fantasy (2011), Amor de Tango (2011), and Tango Lovers (2009) among many others. He created the shows “Eras del Tango” (2009 & 2010) and Tango Suites (2016), making him at 23 years of age, the youngest tango choreographer and producer in the United States. His latest production: “Miami Tango Show”, showcased at the Sunrise Civic Center April of 2023.
His artistry has gained him great reviews in newspapers and media like Broadway World, the Washington Post, Miami New Times, Miami Herald, Edge Media Network, D.C. Theater Scene and Argentina’s CARAS Magazine among others. His performances with FGO’s production of Piazzolla’s Operetta; “Maria de Buenos Aires” and Robert Rodriguez’s musical piece “Tango”, were both chosen “Top 10 Performances of 2013″ by South Florida Classical Review. As a teacher, Jeremias has developed a progressive teaching style and has taught in the following festivals: International Tango Summit (2019, 2018), Alegria Mini Tango Festival (2018), NYC Spring Tango Weekend (2019), Yunta Brava Florida (2016), Florida Tango Encounter (2017, 2016), Boulder Tango Festival (2016, 2014), 9th Annual Boston Tango Festival (2012), 15th Miami Tango Fantasy Festival (2011), as well as workshops through out the United States, Europe and Argentina.
In April 2013 he co-founded and directed the Tango Axis Argentine Tango School in Miami, receiving a proclamation by the mayor of Miami Dade for enriching the art and knowledge of argentine tango in South Florida. Erin Fennell is a professional Argentine tango dancer and teacher. At age five she began her ballet training, mostly under the tutelage of Olga Suarez (former principal dancer under Balanchine) and Delfino Larrosa. As a teenager, she studied at Miami City Ballet’s School and performed in their production of The Nutcracker. Upon seeing her first tango show, Erin was seduced by the rich, dramatic music. She danced with the Tango Times Dance Company, and after two years of dancing tango, she won first place in the 2009 National Tango Championship, stage category, held in New York City.
She has performed in various productions including Piazzolla’s operita, Maria de Buenos Aires, with Opera San Antonio, dancing with Jeremias Fors, and in Un Recuerdo Argentino Tango & Folclore Show, dancing with Nicolas Filipeli. She also holds two master’s degrees and served as a Faculty Librarian/Associate Professor at Miami Dade College for fifteen years. Her first book, Tango Man: The Musical Life of Astor Piazzolla, illustrated by Martina Peluso, is forthcoming Fall 2027.
