Felipe Martinez
Friday Night Milonga
THEME: BLUE MILONGA

Felipe Martinez is a full time tango dancer, teacher, DJ and organizer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

​

Felipe has been DJing tango for more than 20 years. He is a resident DJ in the Bay Area at The Beat, Genesis, Alberto's and El Valenciano and has also played music in Europe (Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Istanbul) and Buenos Aires, where he was invited to play music at El Beso and Villa Malcolm Club in several occasions.

He has played music at most important festivals and marathons in the US: Portland, San Francisco, Baltimore, Denver, Washington DC, Atlanta, Houston, Fort Bragg, Austin, Boulder as well as in many other communities like Providence, New York, Los Angeles, Montreal.

​

He has also played in Asia at many festivals and marathons: Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Bali, as well as Tainan and Taichung.

​

Felipe's musical selection is based on the Golden Age classics that ensure a great atmosphere for dancing.

Sandra Sam
Thursday & Saturday Night Milonga and Practicas
THEME: GALA MILONGA
Dress to Impress to celebrate our 5th Year Anniversary.

Sandra Samolik, a PhD in forensic art authentication and provenance research, brings her meticulous attention to detail to the art of tango. Traveling the globe to share her passion for music and dance, she curates harmonized tandas that inspire and captivate dancers everywhere.

Ayano Yoneda
Sunday Afternoon Milonga
THEME: WHITE FAREWELL MILONGA
Wear White Outfit to celebrate our 5th Year Anniversary.

Based in San Francisco, Ayano travels and dances at milongas locally and around the world, never missing her annual pilgrimage to Buenos Aires.

She regularly DJs at the local milongas in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been invited to DJ at many major events in the United States, Asia, and Europe.

One of her many dreams is to break cultural and language barriers through the Tango Poetry Project (More than 800 tango lyric translations, videos introducing its creators, and stories behind tango, all free and available at www.tangopoetryproject.com). Her interactive lectures and DJing with lyrics & translation projections have opened many tanguero’s eyes to the world of tango poetry.
